A colour change is a full refurbishment that happens to finish in something else. The wheel still gets stripped, repaired and cured — the only difference is what goes on at the end.

Most colour changes go exactly as expected. The ones that disappoint are almost always the same few colours, and it is worth knowing which before you choose.
Satin and matt finishes show every imperfection in the surface underneath, because there is no gloss to hide them. On a wheel with a history of repairs that can mean more preparation than a gloss would need.
Very light colours over a previously dark wheel can need an extra coat to cover properly, and some bronzes and golds shift noticeably depending on the light they are viewed in.
Where any of that applies we will do a sample panel first. It costs us an hour and it is the difference between you seeing the colour before we commit four wheels to it, or afterwards.
Everything below is in the quoted figure. Where a price elsewhere is lower, these are usually the lines missing from it.
Stripped, repaired, primed and cured. The colour is the last step, not the only one.
Or matched to a sample you bring in.
Each behaves differently. We will say which suits your wheel.
Where the colour is one of the tricky ones, before we commit the set.
With new valves and balancing, as with any refurbishment.
On finish and adhesion.
These are the standard rates. The quote you get back against a photograph is the actual figure, and it does not move after booking.
The sample panel is refunded against the job. If you see the colour and change your mind, you have spent twenty pounds rather than four hundred.
What you have, what you want, and whether it will behave.
An hour of our time to save you a decision you cannot undo.
Loan wheels fitted so the car stays usable.
The same full refurbishment as any other wheel.
Colour, then lacquer, each baked and cured in turn.
Balanced, torqued and photographed before we hand them over.
It depends entirely on the colour. Factory-adjacent finishes rarely hurt. Something very bold can narrow the pool of buyers, and we will say so if you ask.
It is reversible — a later refurbishment can take it back to a standard colour.
Yes, and it is the most requested colour we do. It also shows surface imperfections more than gloss, so the preparation matters more. We will tell you if your wheels need extra work for it.
Not reliably. Screens and lighting distort colour too much. A paint code or a physical sample gives a result you will be happy with.
A little, mostly because of the extra coverage some colours need. The figure is in the table above and it does not move after booking.
Every colour change is a collection job, and collection is included across the whole patch.
